On September 2nd, IFA 2022 opened to a packed audience listening intently to opening keynote speaker Cristiano Amon, the president and CEO of Qualcomm Incorporated.
In his address, Cristiano shared his views on how Qualcomm is making it possible for everything and everyone to be intelligently connected.
Cristiano was joined either on stage or virtually by Qualcomm’s partner representatives to talk about how their partnerships are helping shape customer experiences.
This began with Dr. Won-Joon Choi, the Head of Samsung’s Flagship Product R&D team reiterating how the integration of Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 with Samsung devices is influencing the future of mobile technology.

Lila Synder, Bose’s CEO shared her thoughts on how Bose and Qualcomm are co-innovating superior audio experiences to meet audience demands for seamless, immersive audio. Qualcomm is already integrated into Bose’s range of speakers, soundbars, and wearable devices.
This will be strengthened with the incorporation of Qualcomm S5 Audio SoCs into Bose’s upcoming wireless audio devices.
Mark Zuckerberg delivered a video message on how Meta and Qualcomm are taking their existing partnership into a multi-year deeper engineering phase. Customized VR chipsets powered by Snapdragon XR technology will fuel Meta’s future Quest products.
Cristiano ended his session by touching upon Qualcomm’s intent to create an open platform for collaborative innovation efforts with OEMs. To this end, Qualcomm will be hosting a dedicated Auto investor day in September 2022.
