German long-haul startup USC has completed its first wet-lease agreement with Madagascar Airlines after obtaining flight authorization.

On September 5, a USC Airbus A340-300 from Frankfurt flew the MD51 route between Paris Charles de Gaulle and Antananarivo.

The following day, the aircraft (D-AUSC) ran the MD50 return trip.

In the middle of August, USC received its air operator’s certificate from German authorities.

Director Klaus Dieter Martin claims, “We have spared no effort in ensuring smooth and professional operations and hope to not only meet but also exceed Madagascar Airlines’ expectations.”

After Air Madagascar and its domestic airline, Tsaradia, were reorganised earlier this year, Madagascar Airlines was created. In April of this year, the brand-new airline received its operating permit and certification.
