If you recently purchased a set, you should find out how to turn on the noise canceling on the AirPods Pro. After all, the AirPods Pro and AirPods Pro 2’s exceptional active noise cancellation is one of their main selling features, making the latter some of the best headphones available and possibly one of the reasons you purchased them.
Even though turning on noise cancellation on the AirPods Pro sounds simple (and it is), that doesn’t mean it is. The earbuds themselves don’t have a noticeable “Noise Cancellation” button. Additionally, when you get to know your AirPods Pro, there are a few different controls you’ll have to learn how to use, and it can be a bit perplexing at first to know which presses, holds, and finger slides accomplish what.
But don’t worry, and we’ll show you how to use your iOS or iPadOS device as well as your AirPods Pro to turn on the noise canceling. You just need to continue reading.
How to use the AirPods Pro and AirPods Pro 2’s noise suppression feature
1. Press and hold the force sensor on either of your AirPods Pro earbuds until you hear a chiming sound.
2. As an alternative, you can launch Control Center by swiping down from the top right of an iOS or iPadOS display while wearing AirPods Pro in your ears. On the audio slider, press and hold.
3. Tap Noise Cancellation after tapping the Noise Control symbol in the bottom left.
See, it was really simple. So now enjoy!
