A fresh web leak has revealed the camera features of the iPhone 15 models ahead of their debut on September 12.
According to a MacRumors leak, the 48-megapixel primary rear sensor on the iPhone 15 and iPhone 15 Plus is believed to have an aperture of f/1.6, which is a major upgrade over the 12-megapixel main sensor on the iPhone 14 and iPhone 14 Plus. A secondary 12-megapixel sensor with an f/2.4 aperture and an ultra-wide-angle lens is reportedly rumoured to exist.
The report said the iPhone 15 Pro and iPhone 15 Pro Max will launch with a 48-megapixel Sony IMX803 primary rear sensor with an aperture of f/1.78, a 12.7-megapixel sensor with a telephoto lens and f/2.8 aperture, and a 13.4-megapixel sensor with an ultra-wide-angle lens and f/2.2 aperture. A periscopic telephoto lens is expected with the iPhone Pro Max.
According to a recent rumour, the speculated enhanced hardware for the iPhone 15 Pro variants—which is supposed to include a new titanium chassis over stainless steel ones and a periscope lens on the iPhone 15 Pro Max—will likely increase the price of the device. The new chassis should reduce the weight of the various iPhone models.
Users in India may purchase the iPhone 15 on the same day as the rest of the world this year.
