Apple was the only one to insist in a sea of companies ready to offer Black Friday discounts as early as October. As a result, when the technology giant offers discounts for the holidays, it’s usually on Black Friday — and it’s almost always promotions for gift cards, not straightforward discounts.
All of this suggests that if you are searching for a pair of AirPods on sale this year, don’t shop at the Apple Store: The deals are far more attractive elsewhere. The same is true for both the new and old models, starting with the newer AirPods Pro to the due-for-an-update AirPods Max. Best Buy, Amazon, and Walmart also offer discounted models that are refurbished when you’re seriously trying to save money.
